Behind The Scenes – Video and Film Production Network

Published

on

Behind the Scenes is a network of people in the Midwest working in or studying Video and Film Production established in January 2011. The group was initially created with the intention of bringing together like minded individuals to study and promote Film and Video Production in the Mid-West of Ireland.
Following the success of the first Film in a Day event the Limerick based network group is forging ahead with a second event this October. “It is a fantastic way to meet and network with other people in the business. You have a simple brief to film, edit and submit your film all in a day. The films will then be screened at the next meeting on 29th October.” says Mark Griffin who along with Simon McGuire established the network group two years ago.
The network group has grown in numbers and the team encourage the creation of film in the Midwest region with seminars on the technical aspects of film and a support network of film professionals to offer advice and support. Workshops to date have included editing, sound, casting your film and producing a short film.
The “Film in a Day” event will take place on Saturday 27th of October 2012. Registration and Crew check in will take place at The George Boutique Hotel, Limerick at 9am. Please see www.behindthescenes.ie for more information.
