Bell X1 Live will be a very special summer show in Limerick

Bell X1, one of Ireland’s most enduring and acclaimed bands, will take to the iconic King John’s Castle stage on Saturday June 6th, 2026, for a very special summer show in Limerick.
For over two decades, Bell X1 have built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most inventive, dynamic, and consistently brilliant live acts. Their eight studio albums have showcased an expansive creative range — spanning indie, alternative, folk-rock, synth-pop, balladry, and electronica — earning them four Choice Music Prize nominations and a devoted audience across Ireland and beyond.
The band — Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Phillips, joined live by Glenn Keating and Tim O’Donovan — remain a beloved fixture of the Irish music landscape, admired for their lyrical craft, genre-shifting imagination, and unforgettable performances. Work is already underway on a brand-new studio album, set for release in 2026.
Known for their musical versatility and experimentation, Bell X1’s seven studio albums have incorporated alternative, indie, hard rock, post-punk, acoustic, lo-fi, folk-rock, ballad, pop, synth-pop, new wave, and electronica.
That experimentation has been recognized and rewarded, with four of their albums nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year and three debuting at #1 on the Irish Album Charts.
They have toured extensively around Ireland, UK, and mainland Europe. Festival highlights at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Latitude and support slots with The National, Lisa Hannigan and Hozier have secured their reputation as a phenomenal live band.
At home, they were voted the “Best Irish Act” by the readers of The Irish Times and nominated for the Choice Music Prize Song of the Year in 2016. The band was nominated again for the 2018 Choice Music Prize, both for Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
Speaking ahead of the announcement, Mick Dolan said, “Few bands have the connection with Irish audiences that Bell X1 have. Their ability to make every show feel intimate, even in a venue as big as the Castle, is something special. We can’t wait to have them back.”
