Blind Boy Boat Club at LSAD Big Weekend

Blind Boy Boat Club at LSAD Big Weekend Limerick School of Art & Design organised a weekend of Art, Design, Music and Culture as part of Limerick City of Culture 2014. This event was the LSAD Big Weekend and featured public events including talks by national and international creatives, a large music event and a special art and design fair in Limerick’s famous Milk Market.

LSAD invited its alumni, and all from the city and the region to join them on June 6th, 7th & 8th 2014 to participate in the LSAD Big Weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday people had the opportunity to visit the LSAD Graduate Shows and the EVA International Biennial in venues throughout the city.

Former LSAD Visual Communications student Blind Boy Boat Club of The Rubberbandits was a guest speaker at the LSAD Big Weekend and discussed “What is art and how do you know an art when you see one?” at the Dance Limerick space at St.Johns Square. In his own words, this event was “broad and horrendously awkward… but in a good way”.
