The Bohermore National School community will walk or run the 420km it takes to get to and from Croke Park to raise funds to develop an Outdoor Classroom and Sensory Garden at their school grounds. This event will be held on Saturday, May 22 and will involve the whole community in person and remotely.
Bohermore NS commenting on the campaign said, “ We wish to nourish the thoughts and dreams of all our pupils by providing them with a safe and creative space where they can learn, explore, develop and enjoy sensory experiences in a meaningful and memorable way. We would greatly appreciate it if you could support our fundraiser to create a sensory garden and outdoor classroom at our school grounds. It is our plan to include an outdoor classroom space complete with a greenhouse, vegetable patch, raised flower beds and a sensory pathway.”
Bohermore NS, Old School ABC preschool and after school and the wider Bohermore community will benefit greatly from these outdoor facilities. Once Covid-19 restrictions ease, the space is also imagined as an asset for Summer, Easter and Halloween camps.
A fantastic job done by the children at Bohermore NS.
