Last Friday, there was great excitement in the city centre as Boojum Limerick opened its doors to the public to get their hands on a delicious burrito.

Street during the day. People of all kinds queued up for the big burrito bash since 11 am for the official opening at 11.30am. 
There was a number of very happy Mexican food eater at the scene as the restaurant was offering a free burrito and a Boojum Limerick t-shirt to the first 300 customers.
Boojum Limerick tweeted a photo of their very first customers, John and Theresa, 20 minutes after the opening of the doors.

Not only did the restaurant bring more food variety to the city but huge employment as thirty jobs are to be created at the new popular restaurant, joining the chain of other Boojum outlets in Ireland; Cork, Dublin, Galway and Belfast. 

The grand idea of Boojum Limerick was of David Maxwell and his brother, former Ulster rugby player Andrew, who took on the huge expansion of the ‘fast casual’ restaurant as they purchased it in 2015.

Boojum Limerick is the firm’s 13th restaurant nationwide. It has also teamed up with the Limerick Chamber to host an event for business people in the city this evening. 
So if you’re feeling hungry for burritos, tacos, nachos and much more, head your way to Boojum Limerick on Patrick Street as they are open every day, from 11.30am to 10 pm.
