Get West’s New Programme Bounce Project Promotes Positive Mental Health

Bounce Project is a programme that Get West are hoping to run in both Limerick and Galway for a week this summer that aims to develop the confidence, resilience, communication and leadership skills of teenagers by engaging them in adventure activities and equipping them with tools from the worlds of mindfulness, coaching & positive psychology.

the decision to create and collaborate on the Bounce Project was an easy one for John McNamara and Get West. In all of their professional interactions with teens, they have witnessed the immense benefits that young people get from being given the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone and face new challenges in a safe, supported environment. Creating situations where young people can apply emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills are key to developing their resilience.

The Bounce Project which will be held July 17 to 21 at St. Munchin’s College, Corbally, is a truly unique offering for teens as it is the only summer experience of its kind in Ireland. The local adventure and teambuilding company, Get West have teamed up with John McNamara of Coaching for Confidence to offer 2 dates during July 2017 in Limerick and Galway. This week-long programme combines adventure activities with personal development and equips teens with tools from the worlds of mindfulness, coaching & positive psychology.
