A local working group in Bruff is working on a spirited fundraising campaign aimed at constructing a new childcare facility adjacent to the primary school, ensuring that school-age children can receive education within their own community.

The group which was created last year has already raised more than €250,000 in funding and is focused on raising the remaining balance to get the project underway.

“We’re excited about the progress we’ve made so far,” a spokesperson for the group commented, continuing, “Our goal is to create a facility that not only meets the educational needs of our children but also becomes a central hub for community activities.”

The group’s latest fundraising effort is a “Monster Raffle” with some amazing prizes including a €1000 Center Parcs voucher as the top prize with other incredible prizes.

“The raffle has generated a lot of interest, and we believe the prizes will appeal to many,” the spokesperson added, noting with tickets priced at just €5 each, it makes it “accessible for everyone who wants to support our cause”.

The draw for the raffle is scheduled for Friday, July 19 and as the group has set up an iDonate page to facilitate online contributions, they hope it will make it easier for supporters to participate.

“This facility will not only provide essential childcare services but also serve as a community-owned space for various activities,” added the committee member.

The group encourages local residents and supporters to help spread the word and contribute to their cause by sharing the iDonate page and promoting the fundraiser on social media.
