The festival captures the imagination of young audiences with magical theatre, raucous book readings, chatty talks, interactive workshops, plus a host of other activities for the rest of the family too. It is the only festival dedicated to Children in Limerick.

One of the must-see in the festival should be Lords of Strut: Absolute Legends showcases on Wednesday, October 17 at the Lime Tree Theatre. The Lords of Strut, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists are to bring their branded dance to Limerick for the festival.

Famous Seamus and Sean-tastic, Cork-based showstoppers are ready for their first staged show in Limerick since 2010 on the Absolute Legends tour. All their lives they wanted to be famous. To get there they need to make the perfect dance routine. In this dance fantasy adventure brothers Sean and Seamus rock out some banging moves, run into trouble, have a few tantrums, cause a teensy bit of mayhem and find out if fame is really what they’re looking for after all.

Talking about their performance in Limerick, Sean-tastic told Limerick Leader: “There’s a lot of audience involvement; we go to parallel universes, meet characters like talking furniture and loads of other stuff.”

They are “street performance world champions”, according to the Lime Tree Theatre. Unlikely heroes of the smash hit RIOT and Britain’ s Got Talent favourites, Lords of Strut deliver their most ridiculous and sublime family show to date. They are rip-roaringly funny, fantastically bizarre, and absolute legends!

How to Catch a Star presented by the award-winning Branar Téatar do Pháistí is a great show that cannot be missed. Based on the beloved book by award-winning Irish author Oliver Jeffers. This

adaptation combines puppetry with a magical original score by Colm Mac Con Iomaire and directed by Marc Mac Lochlainn.

Children are Stinky presented by the circus duo Circus Trick also brings spectacular the Bualadh Bos Children’s Festival 2018. This exciting kids comedy is a 50-minute action-packed extravaganza. Expect daredevil stunts, incredible acrobatics, lighting fast hula hoops, and loads of laughs and mischievous fun.

In the month of October, the Lime Tree Theatre and Belltable will be buzzing with active, curious and spellbound minds for the Bualadh Bos Children’s Festival 2018.
