First vegan and coeliac Café in Limerick City Centre
Bubble Tea Paradise Healthy Café is the newest addition to Limerick’s growing street food scene, and caters specifically to people on a vegetarian, vegan or coeliac diet.
The café aims to bring the global trend of bubble tea to the Munster area. Bubble tea has its roots in teashops in Taichung, Taiwan in the 1980s, and refers to a number of different teas, milk and juices, with a choice of supplements like fresh fruit, assorted flavourings, as well as fruit juice bubbles, gelatine-free jellies, or tapioca pearls – a starch-extract from Manioc. The teas can be served hot, cold, or blended, and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and people on a coeliac diet.
In addition to the bubble teas, the café also serves an array of healthy foods, such as salads, wraps, sandwiches, grilled ciabattas, organic oatmeal, and gluten-free bread. Additionally the owners aim to bring vegan and coeliac friendly desserts, and dairy-free ice-cream, so customers will not have to worry about ingredients that may conflict with their diet.
Furthermore Bubble Tea Paradise Healthy Café features a designated children’s area, where kids can play, among themselves, while their parents finish their meal.
Make sure to drop by and experience the bubble tea phenomenon, enjoy a healthy meal and find out why this beverage has gathered a cult following all over the world.
The café opened on Rutland St, opposite the Hunt Museum on September 13, 2014, and opening hours are 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, as well as 10am-6pm on Saturdays.
Bubble Tea Paradise Healthy Café sources all its ingredients locally, and uses only natural, seasonal products.
