Familes was set up in 2002 and has been serving the Local and county community, originally called Miles, which was set up initially to support men who were going through a separation or divorce. We provide training and various programs for our members.
Familes have been running a 24-hour helpline along with open meetings twice weekly for men and once a week for women. Familes run a counselling and mediation service for members along with one to one consultations and court accompaniment.
Familes have strong links with most professional organizations in Limerick and can fast track members when possible to their services.
The group receive no ongoing state funding, all funding is provided by the generosity of businesses and friends of the group, we ask for support when we run fundraising events.
Familes is a not for profit group and run strictly by non-paid volunteers
