CARI (Children at Risk Ireland) are partnering with the Limerick Bikers for a Motorcycle Run Fundraiser on Saturday July 5 to raise funds for CARI‘s Limerick centre, starting from O’Connell’s Bar, Annacotty at 11am. CARI’s Limerick’s counselling services operate from CARI House on the Ennis Road and they assist and empower children and young people affected by child sexual abuse to claim back their happiness and innocence for a bright and strong future.

Registration starts at 9.30am and the route will go from Annacotty to Roscrea, then onto Birr, a petrol stop in Mountshannon followed by a bucket collection stop in Bedford Row in Limerick city centre and an opportunity to take photographs and a big Bunny will be on duty from Supermacs for the children.   We then return to O Connells Bar at Annacotty  for a raffle and BBQ at approximately 5.30 pm. Registration is €15and will be done on the morning from 10 o clock.   For further information ring  Andy on 087-2395039 or CARI on 061 582200.  All funds raised from this event will go directly towards the provision of therapy services for children and families in Limerick.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
