CARI family fun day to be held at People’s Park in September

A CARI Family Fun Day is planned for Sunday September 13 in the People’s Park as part of the 95FM Stop Tour for Limerick kids.

The organisation, a leading organisation in Ireland that provides child-centered therapy and support to children, families and groups affected by child sexual abuse, has planned an exciting day for families.

The CBS Pipe Band will open up the Funday at noon and activities will finish at 5pm. On the day they will be having a BBQ, band recitals, bouncy castles, face painting, tug of war, penalty shoots sack races egg and spoon races for the kids, with medals awarded to the winners of the games. 95FM will be broadcasting live on the day from the Park. The CBS Pipe Band and the Boherbuoy Brass and Reed band will give recitals on the day in the Band Stand.

CARI’s very popular Pop Up Shop will open in the park and will include books Bric á Braic, clothing and costume jewellery stands etc. CARI will also be holding a cake sale and teas and coffees will be available. There will be a photographer available to take children’s and family photographs. Giggles the Clown and several Disney characters will be out and about in the park on the day.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful sponsors who have given their services and goods free of charge.

All funds raised will go directly to CARI, The Children’s Ark and the Neonatal Unit in the Maternity Hospital as part of the 95 FM 95 Stop Tour for Limerick Kids.
