Carl Scarpa Footwear, 19 O’Connell Street, have been revealed as the May – June 2026 Limerick City Tidy Towns.
While Carl Scarpa’s has long been a well-maintained retail unit in the heart of the city centre, it has recently received a fresh exterior overhaul with striking blue paintwork and bright new signage, making it an even more attractive property, which we are delighted to acknowledge, particularly given its location at the heart of the city’s retail district.
Carl Scarpa first opened its Limerick shop in 1977, and with over 50 years of experience in the industry, it has become is a name synonymous with premium quality women’s shoes. They believe that your shoes should be of the finest quality and all of their footwear is handmade and carefully designed to ensure it fulfils their high standards of style, quality, and comfort. As well as their stores in Ireland and the UK, they also have an online store, which trades globally.
Maura O’Neill of Liemrick City Tidy Towns said, “Cark Scarpa is our third bi-monthly winner for 2026, following Realta’s win in January-February and Klaud9 Coffee’s win in March-April. If you wish to nominate a business in the city for an award we’d be delighted to hear from you.”
