Limerick’s King John’s Castle is set to come alive this December with a brand-new series of live performances — the Castle Suite Sessions, proudly supported by Limerick City and County Council.
The Castle Suite, a new and beautifully appointed performance space within the historic castle walls, overlooks the courtyard and River Shannon. Designed to host intimate, high-quality live events, it offers audiences a completely new way to experience music at one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks.
The Castle Suite Sessions will feature some of Ireland’s best-loved performers, beginning with Paddy Casey on Saturday, December 6th, followed by Mundy on Friday, December 12th, and Jerry Fish on Saturday, December 13th.
Each concert begins at 8 pm, with tickets priced at €20. The series promises an unforgettable run of live shows — bringing top Irish artists into the heart of the city for nights of music, storytelling, and connection, all framed by the atmospheric beauty of King John’s Castle.
Supported by Limerick City and County Council, the Castle Suite Sessions continue the Council’s commitment to celebrating Limerick’s vibrant cultural scene and supporting live performance across the city.
Speaking about the new series, Mick Dolan said Dolan’s are “thrilled” to bring music into the new King John’s Castle space.
He said, “We’re thrilled to partner with King John’s Castle and Limerick City and County Council to bring live music into this incredible new space. The Castle Suite Sessions will showcase some of Ireland’s finest talent in one of the country’s most unique and historic settings. It’s an exciting new chapter for live music in Limerick, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
