A fun filled family day promised in Castleconnell while getting to know each other in the locality.
On Sunday, June 11th the sleepy village of Castleconnell will host a street party like no other! Derived from a national community initiative The Castleconnell Street Feast is an all-for-fun, not-for-profit celebration of the locality, the village and its residents.
The organisers of the event, The Castleconnell Community Cooperative is inviting all individuals, groups and clubs to join in and celebrate the locality. This promises to be a fun-filled day where residents and friends alike are encouraged to bring along some food and to eat on the street in a wonderful carnival, family atmosphere!
“Castleconnell has had some of the largest residential growth in Limerick over the past few years and this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and have some fun, Bradshaw’s,” says Angela Dempsey, founding member of Castleconnell Community Cooperative & ACM Active Social Group
This all-inclusive, age-friendly initiative aims to encourage active participation, to bring communities together and reduce isolation. Bradshaw’s bar in the village will be offering complimentary teas and coffees for all that attend and everyone is encouraged to bring something along to share, whether it be a dish, a tune or a chair.
The Castleconnell Street Feast event kicks off on Sunday 11th of June at 12.15 pm.
