Irish alt-pop artist Cat Turner returns with a new single, “Take It Out On Someone Else”, released with SASP Records, a song that doesn’t try to hide behind metaphor or mystery.

Honest and direct, it’s about exactly what the title says: getting hurt, and taking that hurt out on the wrong people. “It’s not a song with a hidden meaning. I was hurt by someone who knew better, and I took that out on other people, myself included,” Turner says.

“In saying that, the breakdown in this song is one of my favourite things I’ve written. It’s pretty old now, for me, but I always go back to that. I’m always honest, but that feels like such a callout to myself. It always makes me laugh—like when your friend gives you that look and you’re like, ‘I know, I know.’”
