Celebrant Mary O Donovan Nominated in The Celebrant Industry Awards 2021 

Local Celebrant Mary O Donovan has been nominated for the Overall Best National Celebrant for Weddings in the 2021 Celebrant Industry Awards (TCIA) hosted by The Celebrant Directory; an online hub full of glittering inspiration for those in search of celebrant-led ceremonies and celebrants. 

As an industry first, these global awards are set to recognise those delivering excellence as nominated by fellow Celebrant colleagues, industry suppliers, couples, and families.

Mary O Donovan at Marry Me Weddings is nominated for the Overall Best National Celebrant for Weddings is a Wedding, Vow Renewal and Naming Celebrant covering the Munster area. With nominations set to close on Sunday 9th May, voting then opens to the public on Monday 17th May until Friday 21st May, before being reviewed and judged by an independent panel made up of industry experts. 

Celebrant Mary O Donovan said, “I am so honoured to be nominated as I love what I do. It feels like a calling for me. A part of my role as a celebrant is to recreate moments and memories for all present and to involve everyone in the couple’s journey of togetherness. My intention is to make everybody there feel completely part of, and integral to a couple’s very special day. At the very heart of the ceremony, I write with them, their Love Story. It tells the story of who they are together, from when they first met, their first kiss, their journey thus far, the proposal and finally to this, their wonderful wedding day.” 

Founder of TCIA and The Celebrant Directory, Jennifer Claire Constant said: “I am so excited to finally launch these awards to shout loudly about our fantastic Celebrant community and really recognise the talent we have.” 

She continued: “The past year has shown how integral Celebrants are within the funeral and weddings industry, working and supporting families through life-changing events. I’m really proud of how our members have come together and have made a difference in times of such hardship in 2020-21.”  

The winners will be announced and notified on Monday 31st May 2021.
