The 2026 All-Ireland winning team paid a visit to the Children’s Ark at University Hospital Limerick

The All-Ireland-winning Limerick Senior Hurling Team continued their celebrations, bringing smiles to people across the city and county, including a visit to the Children’s Ark at University Hospital Limerick.

Members of Limerick’s All-Ireland-winning hurling team helped raise spirits for patients and staff at University Hospital Limerick this Wednesday with a visit to the Children’s Ark, the High Dependency Unit and the Mid Western Cancer Centre.

Following the visit, HSE Mid West shared, “There was great excitement at the Children’s Ark yesterday as members of the All-Ireland winning Limerick senior hurling panel and management met our youngest patients, their families and staff. They also visited the High Dependency Unit and the Mid Western Cancer Centre.

The visit to UHL adds to the team’s tour throughout the week since winning the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships. On Monday, ahead of their homecoming celebrations in Limerick City, the squad took the Liam MacCarthy Cup on a visit to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Crumlin.

There, the players and management spent time meeting children and their families on the wards, posing for photos, signing jerseys and hurleys, and sharing their championship-winning memories.

That evening, the squad were welcomed back to Limerick City as champions by thousands of supporters at Pery Square.

Supporters were entertained with song and dance as they celebrated the achievements of both the senior and minor hurlers, and welcomed the senior cup back to Limerick for the first time in three years.
