Limerick’s Christine Hogan searching for the one on Love Is Blind UK

Love is Blind UK has revealed the singles taking part in season 2 of the show, including Athlacca’s Christine Hogan

Love is Blind: UK returns for season 2 on Netflix and the streaming service has revealed the 30 hopefuls looking to find love in the upcoming edition, including Christine Hogan, a 35-year-old HR Operations Lead from Athlacca, County Limerick.

Christine joins two other Irish hopefuls entering this year’s season of the show, hosted by celebrity couple Matt and Emma Willis, which returns on August 13 with a new group of 30 singles from across the UK and Ireland.

Christine says she has become known as a “very experienced bridesmaid” in Athlacca and is described as having a “habit of falling for bad boys that end up breaking her heart”.

Over the course of several weeks, the participants will enter the “pods” hoping to get engaged while on a series of dates without ever seeing the other person. After meeting face-to-face, each engaged couple will move in together and navigate the stresses of daily life —  from family drama to hectic work schedules and everything in between. At the end of it all, they’ll walk down the aisle and decide if they’re ready to say “I do” within a matter of weeks.

While looking for love in the pods, Christine is said to be hopeful that she finds a fan of the show, “Friends”, as she says, “People always say I look like Monica from Friends.” As she searches for her Chandler, who will have a tough time impressing her family, with the show saying, “As an only child, Christine knows her future husband will have to impress her parents, who would like to welcome grandkids into their ‘very Irish’ family as soon as possible.”

Season 2 returns on Wednesday, August 13 and will be available to watch on Netflix.
