Limerick City to light up for Christmas 2025 with Illuminated Christmas Procession on November 22

LUXe Theatre Company will return to Limerick for Christmas 2025 for its enchanting Illuminated Procession to officially unveil the city’s Christmas lights

LUXe Theatre Company’s enchanting parade will light up the city as it travels from the Crescent, O’Connell Street, towards Merchant’s Quay, brightening the night with a twinkling winter wonderland.

Limerick will shine bright for Christmas 2025 following a magical Illuminated Christmas Procession taking place on November 22.

The procession by LUXe Theatre Company will kick off this year’s festive season in Limerick City. The event organisers said, “Expect an exciting, visual spectacle that truly kicks off the Christmas season in style! Everyone is welcome to join in the procession as we light up Christmas in Limerick together!”

Everyone is invited to join in and experience starting at the Crescent, the procession will make its way down O’Connell Street, onto Patrick Street and Rutland Street and finish at the Potato Market in Merchant’s Quay.

People hoping to attend are advised to arrive from 6:30 pm to 7 pm to get a good viewing point on O’Connell Street. The event will also have a Universal Access Area; ASD Ireland, in partnership with Limerick City and County Council, will provide an Autism friendly area and mobile sensory unit, along with a covered wheelchair accessible area for the event.

Announcing a number of events coming to the city over the Christmas season, Christmas In Limerick announced on social media, “It’s Christmas Time in Limerick! The city is sparkling, the lights are twinkling, and the magic is back. We can’t wait to be together for Christmas in Limerick!

“We have so many things happening! The Light Up Limerick Procession, Limerick on Ice, festive markets, twinkling boardwalks… and it’s all waiting for you and your loved ones this season.”
