Embodying the company’s motto, “Something Different,” Clarenbridge Garden Centre in the beautifully scenic Crecora, County Limerick, captures the spirit of the Clarenbridge brand through its thoughtfully curated displays, rare plant selections, and an inspiring atmosphere with its almost 200-year-old building and gardens.

David Farragher, Clarenbridge Garden Centre owner, says the Limerick location perfectly encapsulates the customer experience at any of their centres from the moment they arrive. He told I Love Limerick, “Clarenbridge is all about something different, and the something different is in everything we do. It’s the people, above all, the experience you get when you come to a Clarinebridge Garden Centre.”

Surrounding the beautiful building, which was once a church and a school, is an expansive plant area featuring everything from herbaceous perennials and ornamental shrubs to towering specimen trees and a massive selection of Japanese maples. With prices ranging from €20 to over €600, there’s something for every garden and every gardener, especially those looking for mature or unusual varieties.

David noted, “We have a selection of plants, whether it be perennials, herbaceous shrubs, trees, roses, any plant you can imagine. Then we have a selection of indoor plants as well, and it changes with the season – So in the summer we have summer plants, spring, spring, autumn, autumn, and even in the winter.”

Rose enthusiasts will be drawn to the impressive collection of David Austin roses, with over 30 varieties available, including rare options like ‘Handle’ and ‘Storyteller’, grown in small batches for Clarenbridge. David explained, “ We have the very popular David Austin Roses and we have about 30 different varieties of those. So if there’s a David Austin Rose that you can’t find anywhere else, you need to come out and have a look at these or give us a call.”

With a large selection of unique and exclusive plant pots, sourced with a focus on originality and style, the garden centre adds an element which can set gardens, patios, and indoor spaces apart. “ We put huge emphasis on sourcing unique and different pots. So if you want something special or something different in a pot for your front door or patio, you’ll definitely find it here. Lots of the designs here are exclusive to Clarine Bridge. You won’t find them anywhere else,” David said.

Clarenbridge Garden Centre in Crecora has a large selection of specimen trees as well as a collection of Japanese Maples which will suit all enthusiasts at whatever part of their gardening journey. David explains the group have Japanese Maples of “all sizes”, he said, “From €20 up to €600 euros. If you are looking for a Japanese maple that’s different or bigger or more mature, or you don’t have the time to wait or the patience to wait, you’re going to find something.

We have hundreds of different types of trees, and we have access to even more on our nursery, which is in Galway. But the trees you’re going to get here are gonna be different. We offer trees from a small tree, which is two feet, up to trees that are 15 feet.”

As well as the outdoor space, Clarenbridge brings a selection of indoor plants and decorations to give every home a unique spin and is set to inspire visitors, David explains, “ This section of the garden centre has something very different for your home, a feature piece for your room, whether it be an occasional piece of furniture or statue, or a pot or a plant, or a table or chair, whatever it is, you will find something different here.”

Clarenbridge’s online store complements the physical experience, with 14 shopping categories ranging from climbers to garden furniture. Customers can enjoy nationwide and Northern Ireland delivery, with free shipping on orders over €150, as well as Click & Collect from any of the four stores across Ireland.
