The Strand Hotel Limerick will host a special Networking Breakfast on Thursday, January 30th, in support of Cliona’s Foundation, a vital organisation providing financial assistance to families of children with life-limiting or chronic illnesses.

This uplifting morning event will shine a spotlight on the themes of resilience and resolve, featuring a panel of celebrated guest speakers who will share their personal stories and insights. The panel includes:

David Coleman, renowned psychologist and author, celebrated for his work in guiding individuals and families through life’s challenges.
Davy Russell, legendary jockey and champion sportsman, known for his grit and determination on and off the racetrack.
Meghann Scully, respected broadcaster, journalist, and advocate, whose inspiring journey resonates with audiences across Ireland.

Attendees will enjoy a delicious breakfast while engaging in meaningful networking opportunities with like-minded professionals and supporters of Cliona’s Foundation.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM at The Strand Hotel, Limerick with tickets available through the Cliona’s Foundation website.

Funds raised from this event will directly support Cliona’s Foundation’s mission to alleviate the financial burden faced by families caring for seriously ill children.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn from remarkable individuals, and support an incredible cause,” said Brendan Ring, CEO of Cliona’s Foundation. “Our guest panel represents the strength, determination, and resilience we see in the families we serve every day.”

Cliona’s Foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance to families with children who have life-limiting or chronic illnesses, helping to ease the non-medical costs that can arise during challenging times. Since its inception, the foundation has supported hundreds of families across Ireland.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
