Clionas Foundation Trevor Loftus –

The 2 nd Annual Trevor Loftus Golf Classic is being held on July15 & 16 iN Adare Manor Golf Club and once again two great Children’s Charities, Cliona’s Foundation and Ian’s Trust will be the beneficiaries. The Golf Classic is being held in memory of Trevor Loftus, a native of Pallaskenry who died after a crane arm collapsed on top of him on a New York construction site in April 2015.

The 40-year- old ran a construction company in New York and had purchased a pub in Kilfinny where he had planned to settle permanently with his wife and two children. His wife Fiona along with her 2 daughters has fulfilled those same plans and is running Nevilles at the Cross in Kilfinny, Co. Limerick

Trevor’s Golf Classic was set up by family and friends in memory of Trevor to raise funds for charities that were close to his heart. Trevor was best known for being a very generous person. Not just with money but also with his willingness to give people a chance, to help them get on their feet. It is his generous spirit that has spurred those close to him in to channelling their grief into something positive and raising funds for Cliona’s Foundation and Ian’s Trust – both of whom provide tremendous support for the families of sick children and are delighted and honoured to be selected as beneficiaries.

Cliona’s Foundation provides support to families of children with a life limiting illness to help pay for the “hidden” costs, including accommodation, food, petrol and other miscellaneous expenses incurred by families who must take sick children to hospitals or other medical facilities for frequent treatments, while Ian’s Trust provides financial support to children with Acquired Brain Injury and their families. The 2 day event will take the format of a 3 ball scramble and the cost per team of 3 is €150, which includes dinner
