A Networking Breakfast in support of Cliona’s Foundation was a morning filled with energy, inspiration and community spirit at the Castletroy Park Hotel, attended by business leaders and supporters, as well as a special guest panel.

The uplifting event, sponsored by leading construction company Conack, brought together professionals from across the region for a morning focused on resilience, resolve and purpose, all while raising vital funds for families caring for children with life-limiting or chronic illnesses.

Guests were treated to a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring three outstanding speakers including Sarah Lavin, Irish Olympian and European medallist; Declan Hannon, former Limerick hurling captain and multiple All-Ireland winner; and Michele Roys, respected author and podcaster.

Sarah Lavin shared insights into competing at the highest level of sport and the mental strength required to overcome setbacks. Declan Hannon spoke about leadership, teamwork and resilience both on and off the pitch. Michele Roys reflected on her illness, adaptability, determination and navigating challenges in the world of business.

Each panellist offered honest and motivating perspectives on perseverance in the face of adversity, themes that deeply resonate with the families supported by Cliona’s Foundation.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast while taking part in meaningful networking, connecting with like-minded professionals committed to supporting an important cause within the community.

Funds raised from the event will directly support Cliona’s Foundation’s mission to alleviate the financial burden faced by families caring for seriously ill children, helping with non-medical expenses such as travel, accommodation and household bills during extremely challenging times.

Speaking at the event, Brendan Ring, CEO of Cliona’s Foundation, said, “This event was a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn from remarkable individuals, and support an incredible cause. Our guest panel truly embodied the strength, determination and resilience we see in the families we serve every day. We are incredibly grateful to our speakers, our sponsor Conack, and everyone who attended and supported the breakfast.”

Tom O’Connor, Managing Director of Conack, added, “Conack was delighted to come together in Limerick to support Cliona’s Networking Breakfast with a Purpose. It was inspiring to see the business community unite behind such an important charity and to hear such powerful stories of resilience.”

The event proved to be a resounding success, further strengthening community ties while generating crucial support for families across Ireland.
