Colum McCann and friends to make Narrative 4 Christmas Celebration a Night to Remember

Limerick-based charity Narrative 4 has announced an all-star line-up for its annual Christmas party fundraiser. Internationally acclaimed author and organisation co-founder Colum McCann will join violinist Colm Mac Con Iomaire, local legends the Brad Pitt Light Orchestra and bestselling novelist Ruth Gilligan for what looks set to be a night to remember at Thirteen Fourteen of Flannery’s of Catherine Street on Monday, December 16. The host for the night is Ann Blake.

Narrative 4 is an empathy-building organisation that was set up by Irish writer Colum McCann in New York in 2012. It opened its Irish operation in Limerick in 2016 with the support of Limerick City and County Council.

Narrative 4 Christmas Celebration

Writer Ruth Gilligan will be attending the event on Monday, December 16.

Since then the organisation has grown from strength to strength, training teachers and youth workers as facilitators of its pioneering ‘story exchange’ programme while reaching thousands of young people throughout the region and beyond.

This work has led Narrative 4 to receive recognition and support from the likes of the Social Innovation Fund, the JP McManus Benevolent Fund, and Creative Ireland.

According to Regional Director James Lawlor, the Narrative 4 Christmas party is an integral part of its annual calendar.

“The night offers our community a great chance to come together and celebrate the successes of the past year and enjoy a bit of culture and craic. It’s always great to spend some time socially with our friends and supporters and to meet new friends on the night.

There’s a fundraising component to all this too. We cannot do what we do without our generous patrons, sponsors, and donors, and we are hugely grateful to them. The line-up we have for the Christmas party is, as always, top class and it’s looking like tickets are going to sell out fast.”

Tickets for the Christmas party are €20.00 plus booking fee.

A limited number of tickets are available at www.Narrative4.com/Ireland
