The lineup of participants features some of Ireland’s best acts

T.A. Narrative, His Father’s Voice, SWEETS, 50 Foot Woman, Emma Langford, Hermitage Green, Siege of Limerick/Bad Reputation, Anna’s Anchor, The Hitchers, The Low Field, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, and Zealot Cult. Whether you’re picking up bespoke band merch, hunting for vinyl treasures from Downbeat Records and Steamboat, or grabbing a signed copy of photographer Keith Kelly’s new book A River Runs Through It, merch from Ireland’s greatest music festival Féile na Gréine, there’s something for everyone – maybe you’ll even catch a surprise acoustic set or two!

The Hitchers will take part in the fantastic initiative on Saturday, December 14. The RockN’Roll Christmas Market will see all manner of Limrockers ply their wares under one roof. As well as Vinyl, Tees, CDs etc The Hitchers will be showcasing a new line of merch themed Historical Hitchers -a line of unique and limited edition clocks handmade from cymbals and drum parts used on their recordings back in the 90’s.

This event is more than just a market—it’s a celebration of Limerick’s thriving music community and a chance to connect with the people who make it so special. Wired 99.9FM will broadcast live from the venue between 12 PM and 2 PM, chatting to artists, and showcasing the best of Limrock and its festive spirit –  99.9 FM and online where you listen to radio.

Ray Burke, co-producer of Live at Record Room, a celebration of Limerick music released last December. “The idea sparked from a conversation about the anniversary of the Live at Record Room album, and we wanted to mark it in some way.

We’re not making  claim to it being an original one, music fans will be aware of the annual Merchy Christmas in the Grand Social in Dublin, but we wanted to do something for Limerick acts – something that will hopefully appeal to all shoppers and not just those aware of our thriving music scene”

UK Artist Hailey Beavis will support Jinx this Saturday, December 14

Later in the evening, the Record Room welcomes the return of Jinx Lennon, the punk poet troubadour from Dundalk. Jinx is a force of nature on stage, delivering razor-sharp, deeply personal, and often hilarious, performances.

Jinx Lennon’s lyrics cut through the absurdity and surreal contradictions of contemporary Ireland, offering a raw, unfiltered soundtrack to a society caught between tradition and chaos. His songs capture the bite of everyday struggles, and the humour that thrives in the face of it all. His shows are raw, uplifting, and unforgettable—the kind of gig you’ll be talking about all over Christmas, wrecking your family and friends’ heads as you fight for your turn to play the next tune so you can relive the experience. Supporting him is UK artist Hailey Beavis, a remarkably versatile artist, she blends brooding electro-pop, celestial strings, and folk-tinged melodies, effortlessly shifting her voice to match each song’s unique emotional landscape – don’t miss her Irish debut.

And when the live music wraps up, the party isn’t over, Tom Prendergast will take over with a typically eclectic and electric set that will keep the crowd dancing into the wee hours. Known for his impeccable song choices and infectious energy, Tom P guarantees a night of feel-good fun

The Merch and Record Fair takes place from 12 PM to 5 PM at The Commercial (46/47 Catherine Street), with free entry. Later, doors open at 8 PM for Jinx Lennon’s unmissable live gig, with tickets priced at €10 online (€5 for students/unwaged) or €12 on the door.

Supported by The Commercial/Record Room, Wired 99.9 FM, and Wav Mastering.

Mark the calendars for December 14th, and don’t miss this exciting, community-driven event.
