Friends of Console are set to host Lip Sync For Life in Kasbah Social Club, Limerick on Friday May 27 at 9pm.

Friends of Console Limerick invite everyone to Kasbah Social Club to raise vital funds for Console Limerick and get conversation about mental health flowing.

Friends of Console Limerick want to get lips moving about mental health. They will host a night of fun for those with moves like a rock star but with a voice like a gravel pit.  Guests are invited to take part in karaoke on the night, no matter if you can sing or not. Hosting a night for Karaoke for people who can’t sing.

Face painters and props will be provided on the night for those who want to go full Bowie, Kiss or whoever participants want to pretend to be while they sing into their hairbrush.

Entry and participation is free but donations are welcome and all proceeds will go to console.

PR officer for Friends of Console Karen Mcavinue admitted she is “looking forward to the event and looking forward to getting lips moving about mental health in Limerick”.

Console is a registered charity supporting and helping people bereaved through suicide.Console promotes positive mental health within the community in an effort to reduce the high number of attempted suicides and death through suicide.

The Friends of Console are dedicated groups of volunteers who work tirelessly to raise awareness around the issue of Suicide and to generate much needed funding to sustain and maintain the Console Service Nationally.

Friends of Console Limerick recently hosted a Harry Potter verses Star Wars Trivia quiz as part of Mental Health week in the University of Limerick. The night was a huge success and fills organisers with great hope that the Lip Sync for Life will receive a positive reception.
