The Coronas continue to light up stages across Ireland and around the world

One of the country’s most loved live acts, The Coronas, have announced they will return to one of their favourite venues in Ireland, stepping onto the King John’s Castle stage once again on Friday, May 29, 2026, for a massive summer show.

The Coronas continue to light up stages across Ireland and around the world with their last four albums all going straight to number 1 in the Irish charts, while their live following has grown internationally with sold-out tours across the UK, North America, and Australia; a testament to their longevity and rising global profile.

Following the announcement, the band took to social media to share their excitement about returning to one of their “favourites”.

They said, “Delighted to be heading back to one of our favourites, King John’s Castle next May! Tickets on sale this Friday.”

With more than 15 years of headlining major Irish shows and festivals, The Coronas have built a reputation for delivering unforgettable nights filled with sing-along moments, soaring choruses, and undeniable good vibes. Their legendary annual Christmas shows at The 3Olympia Theatre and their standout Electric Picnic performances remain firm fan favourites.

Speaking at The Launch, Mick Dolan added, “The Coronas are an amazing live band, and we’re delighted to have them back at the Castle. Their shows here are always special — fans are in for an incredible night.”

The announcement adds to what is already an incredible lineup for live music at the iconic Limerick venue, Hermitage Green taking to the stage earlier in the month for their 15th anniversary show on Sunday, May 3, K-Pop Demon Slayers for a sold-out show on Monday, May 4, with an extra date added for Sunday, June 7.

Other shows announced for King John’s Castle for Summer 2026 include two sold-out shows with rock legends, The Pixies, and Irish rock favourites, The Stunning, taking to the stage on Saturday, May 30, followed by the much-loved and no strangers to King John’s Castle, Bell X1, making their return on Saturday, June 6.
