Eleven organisations in Limerick are to benefit from more than €390,000 from the third tranche of the COVID19 Stability Fund.

The aim of the Stability Fund is to help the community and voluntary, charity and social enterprises experiencing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has impacted their fundraising or trade income.

Minister of State for Skills and Further Education and Fianna Fáil TD for Limerick County Niall Collins has welcomed the additional €394,336 funding from the COVID-19 Stability Fund for projects in Limerick.

Minister Collins said the funding will “provide immediate assistance to community and voluntary groups, charities and social enterprise”. Saying the groups who will benefit from the funding have “put their communities first during this unprecedented pandemic”, having made “huge sacrifices to help others”.

“Today’s funding will be a welcome cash injection to support them in their most important work,” concluded Minister Collins.

Limerick Fine Gael TD Kieran O’Donnell has also welcomed the funding which will help organisations in Limerick that provide “critical services to those most vulnerable in communities across and it is only right that we support them”.

With St Gabriel’s School and Center in Dooradoyle to receive the highest possible national allocation of €200,000, Deputy O’Donnell said, “I commend all in St. Gabriel’s for the great service they provide.”
