Go Green this St Patricks Day for Croom Go Green Run

Croom Community Development are hosting they’re annual Croom Go Green Run, this St. Patrick’s Day. The Croom Go Green Run includes the 6k Fun Walk/Run and the 10k chip-timed race. This year the race is going green, so the idea is that people wear green. Something such as a top, shorts or hair!

The Croom Go Green Run 6k route is ideal for both young and old, with many families taking part! People are invited to walk or run this route. If you’ve reached the 5k mark in your training this is a great way to push out to the 6k mark!

The Croom Go Green Run 10k is chip timed, and is also measured by the AAI, (Athletics Association of Ireland). Anyone that has previously ran this route has loved it, particularly if running out through the lovely countryside suits you, this is the run for you.

This year cash prizes are being given for the runner that beat the Course Record. If this is not won, it will rollover to next year.

Runners from last year’s Croom Go Green. The Croom Community Development are encouraging attendees to wear green for this year’s run/walk.

The Croom Community Sports Hall will be open on the morning from 9am, for registration for the 10k. Following the race all runners and walkers alike are welcomed back to the sports hall to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

The Croom Go Green Run is a brilliant way to catch up with others, and any participants, onlookers etc. will be home in perfect time to attend the St. Patricks Day parades.
