Unfortunately, due to current Covid restrictions, the community have found it hard to put subsequent funds together this year in order to keep their town in an immaculate condition.

Croom Tidy Towns

Croom is renowned for its amazing floral displays and the Tidy Towns Committee want to keep it that way

Croom relies on an annual Church Gate collection to raise necessary funds to keep the hanging baskets around the town in shape and to keep the town tidy. However, this year, the annual fundraiser could not be held. Therefore, the town has taken to GoFundMe to try to keep their town tidy.

The aim of the GoFundMe overall is to raise money for new liners that are needed to conserve water restores in hanging baskets around the town to ensure that the flowers placed in them can live for a long period. The community would also like to purchase bee-friendly flowers as well as all the necessary materials to successfully grow the plants such as tomato/plant feed and compost.

Croom Tidy Towns have worked tirelessly and have done amazing work over the years to keep the town in tip-top condition. Croom Tidy Towns is a volunteer committee that works to improve the image and physical appearance of the town. Every year from March to September, the committee comes together to make Croom beautiful. The people of Croom also do great work on their own property in perfect condition. Croom needs your help now more than ever to keep their town tidy.

Speaking on their GoFundMe, organisers said, “The project we wish to undertake with these funds is to plant the baskets over the bridge and also in various places around Croom. New liners are needed to conserve water in the baskets ensuring the longevity of the flowers. Additionally, we would use the funds to purchase enough bee-friendly flowers for all the large planters around Croom as well as compost and tomato /plant feed. We would love it if you could share this message with all your family and friends to help us achieve this goal. Any donation, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for your continued support.”
