Join the Wallace Brothers and a host of International Rugby Legends, and help beat cancer –

Fancy a cycling challenge in aid of cancer research?  Sign up now to help Ireland and Lions rugby legend brothers Paul, Richard and David Wallace help the fight against cancer in the 2014 Viviscal CROSS Rugby Legends Charity Cycle. The cycle starts at Mizen Head on 6th September and finishes at Malin Head on 12th September.

Over 200 cyclists, including former international rugby greats such as Australian captain Phil Kearns and Springbok World cup winning captain John Smit, will participate. There will be a special emphasis on cancer education and awareness within the youth community.  Cyclists can join us for any of the one-day stages or join us for the full tour and enjoy this amazing trip of a lifetime along the beautiful west coast of Ireland.

CROSS is aligned to cancer research at Trinity College Dublin and St. James’s Hospital.  According to Professor John Reynolds, ‘The cancer research programme in Trinity College has benefited greatly from the support of CROSS.  The funds raised from the Legends Rugby Cycle are used to purchase state of the art technologies to enable the work of over 50 cancer researchers across the entire cancer continuum, including prevention, treatment, and survivorship in many different types of cancer. I cannot understate the value of such resources, and sincerely thank all involved, particularly Paul and the entire Wallace family, the organisers, every wonderful participant who takes on this challenge, the many terrific tour volunteers, and the generous sponsors.’

Paul Wallace added,  ‘As patron of CROSS, I ask you to come join us for a stage or few stages to support the wonderful work of Professor John Reynolds and the Trinity College cancer researchers.’
