Treaty United Appoints Damien Lee to its Board of Directors

Treaty United announces the appointment of Damien Lee to the Club’s Board of Directors

Damien is the Managing Director and co-founder of Treaty Software Ltd, a Limerick-based custom software development company

Damien Lee is appointed to the Treaty United Board of Directors. Damien is the Managing Director and co-founder of Treaty Software Ltd, a Limerick-based custom software development company that has been sponsor of the Club’s Centre of Excellence and Academy since last season and a valued partner of Treaty United.

His appointment represents another significant step forward for the club as it continues to strengthen its leadership, governance, and long-term strategic vision.

A native of the sports performance and technology sector, Damien brings a unique blend of sporting insight, commercial expertise, and over two decades of experience in software development and business leadership.

Damien holds a Master of Philosophy in Sports Science from Liverpool John Moores University and his early passion for sports technology led him into software development, where he has built an established career across project management, programme leadership, and software services management.

Damien’s appointment further strengthens Treaty United’s commitment to building a sustainable, community-driven football club with strong local partnerships and ambitious plans for the future.

Before co-founding Treaty Software Ltd in 2024, Damien held senior leadership positions with ActionPoint Software Development and Viatel Technology Group, including Director of Software Services. Throughout his career, he has led high-performing teams delivering innovative software solutions for private companies, state bodies and multinational organisations.

Damien also founded Coaching Data, a pioneering sports technology business that worked with football clubs in the UK, providing management information systems designed specifically for coaches and player development staff.

Damien is heavily involved in grassroots football in Limerick, serving on the committee of local club Castle United, coaching with their U13, U14 and U15 girls teams and also managing the LCDUL County U13 girls team this season.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
