Dance Limerick presents ‘Microworlds’ as part of the 2025 Bualadh Bos Children’s festival on Sunday, October 12, offering a performance for children ages 4 and up as well as adults.
Microworlds, by Jazmína Piktorová and Sabina Bočková, offers an open space to children and adult viewers in which everyone and everything is an important part of it and has its own unique potential that can develop and thus create common microworlds together with others. The production softens the viewers´ perception, trains their attentiveness and concentration, and teaches them to play with a minimum of resources.
The performers say, “Our earth is full of worlds within worlds. Each of these microworlds lives its own unique life. Through micro-movements, body landscape, and small objects, the performance focuses on tiny things in plain sight that are often overlooked.

“Set against the backdrop of a frantic and vast world, viewers are invited to start appreciating small and vulnerable everyday things again. This playful and poetic performance explores the fragility of our existence, charming both adults and young audiences alike.”
Jazmína Piktorová is a choreographer based in Prague. Interested in the intersection of movement education and creating for young audiences, she engages in long-term research into subjects that challenge both her and the audience.
