Dance Limerick have begun the search for visionary leaders to provide the guidance and strategic direction as new directors for its board

Dance Limerick, one of Ireland’s leading centres for dance, is seeking visionary leaders to provide the guidance and strategic direction needed to match the organisation’s opportunities and passion.
They are looking for individuals who value artists and audiences and see the arts as central to a vibrantly functioning society; who have the capacity to support to propel a dynamic programme of dance initiatives and who can get behind Dance Limerick’s ethos and values in shaping its strategic priorities and future.
The organisation welcomes applications from people who bring strong skills, diverse life experiences, or professional expertise in the key focus areas of Legal, Finance and Accounting, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Human Resources, Communications and Public Relations, Buildings and Sustainability or the Dance or Cultural Sector.
Applications from people who can contribute to our work in income development, fundraising and philanthropy will be particularly welcome, although not an essential requirement.
Established in 2013, Dance Limerick’s ambition is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection through dance. Their ambition is for Dance Limerick to be a place for dance and a hub of creativity for our artists and for all those with whom we engage.
Dance Limerick supports artists and the public alike to be curious, to be creative to connect with each other and to what matters in the world around us.
Dance Limerick is a registered charity, and this is a voluntary, unpaid position. They are seeking a commitment for a period of 3 years with an option to serve up to 6 years. By joining the board of directors, you will have the opportunity to make a difference, fulfilling a civic responsibility by contributing your knowledge and expertise to enrich our cultural landscape.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives within the organisation and use your insights to help foster meaningful connections between artists and audiences, all while broadening your understanding of cultural and creative sectors and building relationships with like-minded individuals passionate about the arts.
If you would like to enhance your professional development through this opportunity while contributing a vital role to the development of the organisation, you can submit your application via email to [email protected] by 12 noon, January 13th, 2025.
