Dance Limerick has begun the search for a dance artist and a project producer for the Square Roots community dance project

Dance Limerick has begun the search for a dance artist and a project producer for this summer's Square Roots community dance project
Square Roots is a project funded by the Community Safety Fund from the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.

Dance Limerick has announced it is hiring for two separate part-time roles in the context of the an upcoming community dance project set to take place this summer.

Square Roots is a project funded by the Community Safety Fund from the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration and will take place in summer 2026.

Making the announcement, Dance Limerick said, “Dance Limerick is looking to grow its team, with upcoming community dance project Square Roots coming up this summer, while we continue to offer our usual programming of dance performances, workshops, evening and weekend classes and more to always keep engaged with our community. The project recognises dance as a vital force that brings people together and encourages a sense of place and belonging in and around John’s Square in Limerick. The selected candidates will join a small, dedicated team at Dance Limerick, working on a part-time basis for 18th months.

Speaking about the positions, Dance Limerick said, “We are looking for a Dance Artist to collaborate with Dance Limerick and be the creative driving force of Square Roots and a Project Producer to coordinate the project and ensure it is delivered in line with Dance Limerick artistic and strategic objectives.”

Applications are now open for both positions, with Dance Limerick announcing the application process will remain open until Monday, May 11, and more information is available on the Dance Limerick website.
