David Gray will return to Limerick as part of his Past and Present tour to perform in the historic grounds of King John’s Castle on Thursday, May 1st, 2025.

David Gray’s story is unlike any other. He spent almost a decade striving to make a breakthrough, and when it happened it did so in the biggest way imaginable as White Ladder became one of the best-selling Irish albums of recent decades and established him as an arena-filling artist.

As the years have passed, his songcraft has only been deepened by his natural ability to convey specific emotions, atmospheres or, as heard on his acclaimed 2021 album Skellig, a perception of place – all positioning him in the lineage of classic poetic singer-songwriters rather than lovestruck acoustic troubadours. While the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Hozier have acknowledged his influence, David has continued to follow his own artistic path.

Speaking at the launch Mick Dolan said, “Delighted to welcome David Gray back to Limerick.” He said, “David has a long standing history in Limerick performing in Dolans Warehouse on multiple occasions during his white ladder tour as well as a massive show in Thomond park as special guest to Bob Dylan,” adding, “This is not to be missed.”

David Gray is added to a long list of upcoming gigs in Limerick with Kaiser Chiefs, Train, and many more acts set to take to stages across the city in 2025.

Tickets are on sale now and available through Dolan’s Website and Ticketmaster.
