The 5-Star Adare Manor is delighted to announce the appointment of Deirdre Shanahan as its new Director of Human Resources. Deirdre who has over 20 years’ experience in senior human resources roles in the luxury market, takes up the new role as the resort prepares for its first summer season following its successful reopening late last year.
Deirdre joins the team at Adare Manor from Kildare Village, the luxury outlet shopping destination, having serviced in senior Human Resources role for over seven years. During that time, Deirdre also recruited the Irish and International leadership team to support the highly successful business. Prior to this, Deirdre spent over 12 years working with Brown Thomas in senior Human Resources positions, working across Brown Thomas Cork, Limerick and Galway.

Speaking today, Adare Manor, General Manager, Paul Heery, said “We continue to grow and develop our team and we are delighted to welcome Deirdre to Adare Manor. Adare Manor temporarily closed its doors in early 2016. The newly designed luxury resort now boasts of a new 42-bedroom wing, bringing the total number to 104 bedrooms. A splendid new ballroom with a capacity for 350 guests has been added, catering for weddings, events and Irish / international conferences. The Spa at Adare Manor is Ireland and the UK’s 1st and only La Mer Spa, making it one of the eleven La Mer spas worldwide. Adare Manor, last month, reopened its newly rebuilt, redesigned and remodelled golf course, which was led by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio with the Adare Manor team and is now regarded among the top golfing destinations in Europe / worldwide. This was followed by the opening of the stylishly relaxed dining experience at The Carriage House Restaurant, Terrace, and Bar, which opened earlier this year.
