Deliveroo Castletroy expansion: Strong appetite in Castletroy for high-quality delivery fuels expansion
Deliveroo, the on-demand delivery service for high-quality restaurant meals, today announces its Deliveroo Castletroy expansion following a hugely successful launch in Limerick.
Deliveroo has seen its hyper-local approach to food delivery service thrive in areas with high population density and quality restaurants, making Castletroy an ideal new zone for the service.
The launch means the hungry residents of Castletroy can now get food from their most loved local restaurants, including; Milano, Taikichi, La Piccolo and Cedar House delivered to their door in 32 minutes for a €2.50 extra delivery fee. The expansion into Castletroy has also meant locals can select from a wider range of restaurants with some new partnerships including La Cucina Centro and Petit Paris. To order, all they need to do is type their postcode into Deliveroo’s website, iPhone app, or Android app.
This expansion will create work opportunities for a number of local people over the next year and will bring significantly increased revenues to partner restaurants – for example, many Deliveroo partner restaurants can increase their revenue by 30%.
Launched in 2013, Deliveroo is focused on creating the best food delivery experience in the world. Customers are able to order meals from a variety of leading local, independent and high-quality chain restaurants, conveniently delivered to their homes and offices in an average of 32 minutes. Restaurants can take advantage of Deliveroo’s proprietary end-to-end technology and logistics platform to offer delivery for the first time without the hassle of running their own fleet of drivers.
Lorraine Fanneran, Owner of La Cucina, said: “I kept a close eye on Deliveroo from the moment they arrived in Ireland and was delighted when they launch Limerick. As online ordering has become so big, it was an obvious choice to join them when I opened my second restaurant on Henry St. Deliveroo brings me additional revenue with the convenience of not having to manage extra staff. The technology is brilliant and really allows us to maximise our existing costs and to bring our food directly to customer’s houses. I simply love it!”
Liam Keenan, General Manager of Deliveroo, Ireland, said: “We’ve seen a big appetite for Deliveroo in Limerick so far – we’re excited to be working with even more great restaurants in the area, and to be serving the hungry people of Castletroy. Busy consumers will now be able to enjoy their favourite meals at home or in the office, delivered straight to the door in 32 minutes or less.”
Deliveroo has seen impressive growth over the past year. Globally, the service has had a 650% growth throughout 2016, while daily orders have grown tenfold since January 2015.
Keenan continues; “Expanding our operation in Limerick is a natural next step in our mission to offer the highest quality food delivery service in Ireland. In the 100+ towns and cities we currently operate in, we have an enthusiastic base of repeat customers, and we’re looking forward to meeting new food lovers in Castletroy.”
Richard Lynch of I Love Limerick is a regular user of the Deliveroo service saying, ” I love food! I lived in New York for over 15 years and developed a taste for good food as in the Big Apple you can eat anything you want whenever you want. I especially developed a love for Japanese food as its delicious but more importantly for me, it’s healthy. With Deliveroo there’s no need to throw my diet into disarray. They are partnered with a wide variety of restaurants that create nutritious and delicious dishes no matter the distance. For example, as I sushi lover it’s amazing to have some of the finest sushi Limerick has to offer from both Kyoto Sushi and Noodle I am addicted to their daily bento box and their Ebi Tempura Avocado Roll.
And let’s not forget the delicious and authentic Italian food from restaurants such as La Cucina Centro and Da Vincenzo which have left me full and satisfied for hours. Aside from the obvious health benefits of authentic Japanese and Italian cuisine, nothing puts a spring in my step like the sublime flavours that can be expected from the incredibly skilled chefs at these restaurants.”
