Dell EMC Supper Club event launched to support female entrepreneurs

New event launched to support female entrepreneurs

This week the first Dell EMC Supper Club was hosted by Dell EMC, in partnership with GirlCrew, in Dublin to support female entrepreneurs. This event was the first in the series of Supper Clubs planned to take place in the coming year.

This initiative has been developed to help support female entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and their networks. Female business founders will get the opportunity to meet other female entrepreneurs and share stories and experiences. They will also have the opportunity to speak with experts from Dell EMC on a range of topics such as sales, management, logistics, legal advice, marketing and business development.

Speaking at the event Aisling Keegan, Vice President and General Manager for Dell EMC Ireland, said: “Dell EMC has a strong track record of supporting entrepreneurs through the work of our Entrepreneur in Residence and the dedicated Dell for Entrepreneurs programme which provides mentorship, support and access to financing for growing start-up businesses. As a company, we also run the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN), an annual gathering of female entrepreneurs established to address some of the challenges faced by women when starting and growing their businesses.”

She went on to say “With this focus in mind we wanted to develop a programme for female entrepreneurs in Ireland. By working with GirlCrew we hope we can support many female entrepreneurs across the country as they continue to develop and grow their ideas. Our first event was a great success. I was really impressed by the company ideas of the female founders that attended. We’re really looking forward to our next event and growing the Dell EMC Supper Club network across Ireland with GirlCrew.”

Pamela Newenham, Co-Founder of GirlCrew, which is partnering Dell EMC on the Supper Club, said: “GirlCrew is a start-up focused on creating opportunities for fun, friendship and networking. We are excited to be teaming up with Dell EMC. The first meeting of the Dell EMC Supper Club went well and the feedback from everyone who attended was very positive. We are growing a network of female founders globally, as we think it is very important for entrepreneurs to help each other get ahead. The Dell EMC Supper Club will be a great resource for our members in this space.”

GirlCrew has more than 80,000 members across 46 cities throughout the world and was founded by Pamela Newwnham and Aine Mulloy.

The date for the next Dell EMC Supper Club with GirlCrew will be announced in July. More information is available through the Dell EMC and GirlCrew social channels.
