Set against the backdrop of Count Orlofsky’s glamorous masked ball, Die Fledermaus unfolds as man-about-town Eisenstein, his wife Rosalinde, and their mischievous maid Adele are swept up in a night of mistaken identities, flirtation, and wild hilarity.

A bold and playful reimagining director Davey Kelleher promises a fresh, intimate take on this operatic classic, saying, “Richard Pierson’s dynamic new orchestration unleashes all the wit, mischief, and wild abandon that make this operetta irresistibly timeless.”

This production features an ensemble of exceptional talent, including Rosalinde portrayed by Jade Phoenix (soprano); Adele portrayed by Sarah Shine (soprano, Limerick native); Prince Orlofsky portrayed by Sharon Carty (mezzo-soprano); Eisenstein portrayed by Alex McKissick (tenor); Dr Falke portrayed by Ben McAteer (baritone).

With set design by Paul O’Mahony, costumes by Catherine Fay, lighting by Sinéad McKenna, and choreography by Stephanie Dufresne, this production promises a visual and musical feast.

Die Fledermaus will be performed in English with English subtitles, and conducted by Richard Pierson.

Supported by The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon. Don’t miss this effervescent operatic gem, filled with waltzes, comedy, and the glamour of Strauss’s Vienna. Tickets available now!
