Fashion Show Fundraiser in aid of Down Syndrome Limerick promises to be “A Most Fashionable Affair” on Friday, August 30
Down Syndrome Limerick has announced its fundraiser “A Most Fashionable Affair”, a premier fashion show at The Savoy Hotel on Saturday, August 30

Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of style and purpose at “A Most Fashionable Affair”, a premier fashion show in aid of Down Syndrome Limerick, taking place on Saturday, 30th August 2025 at the elegant Savoy Hotel, Limerick at 3:30 pm.
This special event will feature the latest Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection by acclaimed Irish designer Marion Murphy Cooney, alongside standout pieces from Original Ireland Designs, celebrating the beauty of homegrown fashion talent.
Michelle Coughlan, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick, told I Love Limerick that people can look forward to a “fashion show with a difference”.
She said, “Fashion is all about inclusivity and diversity, and what better than having a partnership and collaboration with Down Syndrome Limerick. It’s going to be a wonderful affair with the Holman Lee Agency, a collaboration that’s going to be like no other.

“With afternoon Tea, Prosecco, and most of all, our wonderful ladies with Down Syndrome are going to strut their stuff along with the Holman Lee models on the catwalk, and they are going to be showing off Marian Murphy Cooney’s Autumn Winter Collection along with the most beautiful creative designs from Angela and original Ireland.”
Models from the esteemed Holman Lee Agency will bring the collections to life on the runway, adding their signature flair and professionalism to an already dazzling occasion, all while raising funds for Down Syndrome Limerick, a charity dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
This promises to be a stylish and heartfelt afternoon, an opportunity to enjoy the very best of Irish fashion, afternoon tea and all while supporting a truly meaningful cause.
Speaking about the importance of fundraisers such as this, Michelle said, “We don’t receive any government funding, but we don’t moan about it either. So we get out there and we meet and greet people and we collaborate with some amazing people. And the reality is, there are some amazing people out there, and they want to give back. But what better way than a fashion show?”
