Share a Dream are in the business of creating magic in the lives of very sick and disabled children and their siblings and are celebrating 25 years of making the seemingly impossible dreams become possible for over 26,000 children all over Ireland.

As founder Shay Kinsella says “Nothing is impossible and dreams do come true but you must follow your dream work hard and make them happen”

Now after 5 years of fundraising, planning and designing, Shays’ biggest dream and his legacy is about to come true as Dreamland Limerick opens!

Inspired by the dreams of two children who sadly passed away and whose dreams Shay couldn’t fulfil because of their terrible illness and lack of facilities his dream was born. Dreamland Limerick opens in two weeks time for the ultimate Christmas wonderland.

Dreamland is a magical place where no child will feel different regardless of their ability or disability and all children will play together just as children love to do and challenge themselves to the best of their ability. Dreamland is designed to reflect a child idea of a magical place the kind you can only find in a story book or a child’s wonderful imagination a real WOW factor. Dreamland is open to under 10 year old’s.

Special children registered with Share a Dream will have free admission except for special occasions.

Dreamland Limerick will be an educational, fun venue and the perfect place for schools, clubs or association outings to have fun and learn through play. For children fighting terrible life threatening illnesses, Dreamland will close the entire centre for the children and family to have their fondest dream come true as it’s built like a film studio.

Dreamland is now open for bookings for the ultimate Christmas wonderland from the November 25 to December 23.

It will be a magical place to meet Santa in the Tree house or the snow Queen in the Castle of dreams or Mrs Clause in the beautiful sensory room or the many characters playing havoc! Don’t be disappointed, book today!

Dreamland will be the ultimate special party venue in our beautiful party rooms, where else could your fondest dreams come true other than Dreamland? 

Dreamland are looking for volunteers who would love to be part of the magic of bringing joy into the hearts of all children regardless of their ability or disability – please call us if you would like to join our Dream Team.

Finally Dreamland will help pay for all the other service we provide for sick and disabled children i.e. dreams come true, concerts, dream machine,  parties etc.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online.
