Dreams Under My Feet blends traditional Irish dancing, set dancing and music with contemporary dance, aerial dance and rap.  In the cultural melting pot created by the Limerick City of Culture celebrations, this production has brought together some of Limerick’s best artistic talent to merge these art forms into a stunning performance piece.  Students from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at UL, Limerick Youth Dance, local children’s choirs, musicians and hip hop artists all join forces under the creative direction of Ashlene McFadden (Irish World Academy) and Chantal McCormick (Fidget Feet) in this mystical ceili that travels from inside the Dance Limerick Space (St John’s Church) out into John’s Square.

Dreams Under My Feet is the latest in an exciting programme of dance events presented by Dance Limerick this year, including The Táin, Mind in the Flesh and the forthcoming Light Moves Festival, while Fidget Feet are building on their recent productions The Second Coming,The Elves and The Shoemaker and Wired and Free at Riverfest.  All of these productions have been supported by Limerick City of Culture.
