Cars at the Cathedral
May 4 @ 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
A unique display of special cars & motorcycles will take place in the grounds of the historic St. Mary’s Cathedral Limerick on Saturday 4th May from 12pm – 4pm.
Part of Limerick’s Riverfest celebrations, “Cars at the Cathedral” aims to highlight rare and important vehicles. Exhibits will range from motorbikes of the 1900s to current world record holders, from the first horseless carriages to the latest supercars.
Complementing the vehicles outside will be a display of fascinating items inside the cathedral, including restored pedal cars and never before seen design drawings.
St. Mary’s Cathedral was founded 855 years ago and is the oldest building in the city that is still in continuous use. Visitors are a short walk from shops, cafes, the Hunt Museum, King John’s Castle and many other attractions.
This event is being held in conjunction with the Irish Motor Racing Club, (IMRC), organisers of the Limerick Grand Prix races of the 1930s.
The entry fee includes a commemorative booklet. Follow Cars at the Cathedral on Facebook for regular updates. This is a charity event with all profits going to local charities.
