This Friday 22 September, the evening will start at 6 pm with ‘The Golden Flood of Memory’, a moving performance originally commissioned for Bealtaine Festival 2023. Those of you who missed the chance to see this beautiful piece by our community group of performers can catch it again this Friday at St John’s church. 

Afterwards, Limerick Youth Dance Company will present their latest piece ‘But There All the Same’, choreographed by Rachel Sheil. 

On an alien planet, these citizens explore their new life. “I am finally free. I made my own choice, and based on my own ideals.” Ready to thrive, but a little battle-scarred… and tired… and worn, with their souls a little torn… but there all the same.

Stay on at 6.45 pm for Slavek Kwi’s ‘Dance of Lights’, an immersive experience in which attendees are invited to create light with small torches, draw, dance and see the spontaneous light choreography. 

The night will end with Top 8 Street Dance Battle featuring renowned Irish bands NeuBrí and Strangeboy as well as DJ sets and dance performances showcasing a rich blend of Irish, UK, West-African and American culture.
