Launch of History in the Making

The launch of History in the Making, an exhibition of photographs from the Patrick Hennessy Collection organised by Limerick Camera Club as part of its 80th anniversary celebrations in Limerick Museum, Henry Street, Limerick on Thursday the 10th of August 2023 at 5.45 pm.
Limerick Camera Club is the oldest camera club in Ireland having been founded in 1943 as a social club for photography enthusiasts in the city. It is an IPF (Irish Photographic Federation) affiliated club whose members range in skills from expert to beginner, with the more experienced photographers encouraged to share their knowledge through a positive learning environment. The photographs on display in this exhibition are part of a much larger archive that Patrick Hennessy has been compiling for over thirty years. By sharing the richness of his archive with us in this exhibition, Patrick has done the people of Limerick a great service.
