The skies above Limerick will come alive this May Bank Holiday weekend as the internationally acclaimed Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre presents The Dreaming Heart – an awe-inspiring aerial performance commissioned by Limerick City and County Council for Riverfest Limerick 2025.
Taking place on Saturday, 3rd May at 9.30pm, this free, open-air spectacle will be a breathtaking performance at the Riverfest celebrations, transforming the Redemptorist Church into a breathtaking stage.
Suspended 35 metres above the ground from two towering cranes, Fidget Feet performers will soar through the night air in a dazzling display of aerial artistry, fire, music, and movement.

The Dreaming Heart blends the thrill of aerial dance with the emotion of theatre, telling a magical story that speaks to the heart – a tale of love, hope, and human connection.
Set against the backdrop of Limerick’s urban landscape, the performance will be accompanied by a specially composed musical score by Fidget Feet’s own Jym Daly and enhanced by spectacular lighting and fire effects, creating a sensory experience unlike anything audiences have seen before.
“This show is about dreaming big, and what better place to share that vision than in Limerick – a city that embraces creativity and courage,” said Chantal Mcormick, Artistic Director of Fidget Feet.
“We’re excited to bring this incredible piece to Riverfest and to connect with audiences in such a unique and powerful way.”

The Dreaming Heart promises to be a standout event, offering a moment of collective wonder under the stars.
The event recommended for all ages takes place at Redemptorist Church, 9 Saint Alphonsus, Quin Street, on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 9.30pm. The organisers invite people to “join us as the stars align for an unforgettable night of magic, movement, and wonder in the skies above Limerick”.
