For the Financial Wellbeing event, Bank of Ireland was in association with BEO, a business which aims to inspire, educate and empower both women and men. The event offered a taster of the BEO experience, which has welcomed and inspired almost 15,000 women across Ireland and Northern Ireland in the past two years.

Aoibhín Garrihy, Co-Founder of BEO, was a guest speaker on the night: “We are thrilled to be here representing BEO, a nationally renowned health and wellness brand, to celebrate Bank of Ireland’s recently launched Financial Wellbeing initiative. Which we believe is a wonderful stride towards improving people’s overall health and wellbeing, both in their personal and professional lives, and we’re thrilled to partner with Bank of Ireland, and to bring you this evening’s programme.”

“Let me start by introducing ourselves, my name is Aoibhín, and together with my partner Sharon [Connellan], we set out on a mission, this time two years ago. That was a mission to spread a message of care, love, and compassion to the women of Ireland. BEO is the Irish translation for ‘life’, and we have since welcomed over 15,000 women across Ireland and Northern Ireland, something that we are very, very proud of and we’re delighted to say that we feel like we’re just getting started,” Aoibhín added.

Also speaking on the night, was Gerry Duffy, motivational speaker, and Linda Ryan, Financial Wellbeing Coach.

After the guest speakers, the event moved onto the panel discussion, which included Leanne Moore, Owner of Go Gyms, Clare Kambamettu, Clinical Psychologist, and Maria Kelly, Head of Bank of Ireland Limerick.

Speaking about the event, Maria Kelly said, “Tonight, in Limerick, is part of our national enterprise week, where there are events going on in Bank of Ireland’s all over the country. We’re focusing on Financial Wellbeing in business, and our discussion tonight is going to talk about wellness in the workplace and focus on some of the challenges that people face in leadership positions, but in particular women in leadership positions.”
