On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Fit Fest Fundraiser will take place at CrossFit Treaty, Limerick (V94 K461), in memory of Madison Stanley, a young girl who touched the hearts of many
The Fit Fest Fundraiser 2024, organised by Rebekah Stanley aims to honour her niece, Madison Stanley’s memory while raising funds for the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, a charity that supports sick children and their families.
Madison Stanley was a joyful and loving little girl who brought light and happiness to everyone around her. Known for her caring nature, infectious laughter, and bright spirit, Madison had an incredible ability to make people smile. Tragically, Madison passed away at the age of 3 on April 15, 2022, after a long battle with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. Despite her short life, Madison left a lasting impact on those who knew her and is dearly missed every day.
Madison’s aunt Rebekah, inspired by Madison’s strength and the support her family received during the battle, decided to create this event to keep Madison’s memory alive and help other families facing similar struggles.
“Madison was the best little friend I could have ever asked for,” said Rebekah, she continued, “She was the most caring, beautiful, fun and happiest girl to be around and is missed everyday by so many.”
Starting at 9am on Saturday, September 14, the event will feature two workout categories, making it accessible to everyone:
Let’s Have Fun: A fitness challenge for participants of all abilities, designed for those who want to enjoy a casual workout and show their support.
Let’s Get Serious: For more advanced athletes looking to test their fitness levels in a competitive environment.
Ticket sales are now closed, however, those unable to attend but would like to contribute, a donation link is also available.
The event will also feature a public raffle with incredible prizes on the day. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event with cash and some amazing prizes will be up for grabs including overnight stays in the Trump Hotel in Doonbeg, The RiverLee Hotel in Cork and many, many more.
All proceeds from the Fit Fest Fundraiser will go to the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting children with serious illnesses and their families. By participating in or donating to this event, you’ll be helping provide much-needed resources and assistance to families going through similar challenges as Madison’s family.
“This is for you Mads, I hope I am making you proud”, her aunt shared as she prepares for the event which means so much to her and her family.
This event is not only a way to remember Madison but also a chance to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Join the Fit Fest community on 14th September 2024 to help raise funds, support a fantastic cause, and celebrate Madison’s beautiful life.
